This game is quite enjoyable. I like the aesthetics.
I recorded myself playing the game: https://youtu.be/JJN2o28Gar0
Some random thoughts:
The music and graphics look synchronized. Some sounds effects like a grenade launch are also quite good. I was tempted to fire them to the beat.
The menu is so stylish. :D Well, the entire game art style is good. It’s simple, but not primitive.
The gameplay is good and smooth, but then it becomes more grindy without additional threats (read the next point).
I think the game lacks the difficulty progression. It’s harder in the beginning than after you get a couple of upgrades. I’m not sure there is any enemy progression at all. Bosses would be nice too.
Some upgrades are described in a peculiar way so it’s hard to understand what they’re supposed to do. :D
The enemies can go through the walls. Since the player can’t, it feels a little bit unfair.
It would be convenient to fire by a pressed down button; this would require a weapon to have some reload time though. Pressing the mouse key for every shot is quite exhausting.
Starting without a weapon feels weird. Is there a reason not to buy a starting weapon from the get go?
Hello!! Thank you for this review!
Again thank you for this review, cheers!
For some reason, game visuals are going nuts in the web version, main menu is fine tho.
Hmm that doesn't look too good, on my browser it seems to be working fine. I'll look into a potential solution, thank you for your feedback!
Can you provide more information if possible?
Like what browser are you using, could there be any extension you have installed that could be interfering with the game, do you usually have issues with other html games, etc?
I had no similiar issues with any other HTML games before. I don't think I have any relevant extensions. All extensions of mine are stuff that blocks adds or skips adds lol.
Some information without order:
1. I have downloaded the game and had no issues on the Windows version.
2. Tutorial also has same issues.
3. Private mode (of the browser) does not effect behaviour, it is still the same.
4. I am using Chrome.
Alright I did some testing on a different computer and tried multiple browsers and I wasn't able to replicate the issue.
That being said, the problem is most likely some corrupted game files that didn't download correctly when loading the game, restarting your web browser (or entire system) could fix this issue since it redownloads all the files required for the game once you load it.
If more people show the same issue I'll look further into the problem.
Thank you for your feedback tho, it is much appreciated!
